With the 45th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Bears select South Carolina WR Alshon Jeffery. Jeffery is a massive receiver who could get consideration as a move tight end. He fits today's NFL passing game, which has the big, tall pass catchers getting vertical to fight for the reception. Jeffrey has speed and quickness limitations and must commit himself to year-round conditioning. He will have a long and productive NFL career if he consistently plays at a high level.

From what I've seen, good hands/good reaction to the ball/goes after the ball instead of waiting on it/plays well in traffic...

Doesn't seem to have much quickness/speed, hear he needs work on his routes tho he has the route to the buffet table down pat, lost about 15 pounds just for the draft/not very physical...

Don't know if we've got a potential big WR to pair up with Marshall or a guy who's going to eat his way into a TE. Guess we'll have to see.

  3. Tarkus I think he can be motivated. He was a fantastic player in the SEC for several seasons. His problem last year was bad QB play.
