Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland suggests that the addition of RB Trent Richardson could put Montario Hardesty in danger of being released. Hardesty has battled through a history of injuries since he arrived in the NFL, but Grossi notes that he “doesn’t have (the versatility) to play on third down and special teams,†which leaves Brandon Jackson and Chris Ogbonnaya in a much better position. The Browns are expecting to use Richardson as a three-down player, but Jackson and Ogbonnaya could end up filling in on third-down situations. Hardesty was drafted in the second-round, but has yet to live up any of the team’s expectations. This could very well end being a make or break training camp for him. Source: NFL Trade Rumors
I'd say he's safe for the season, there was a lot invested in him and practically nothing in the other two, but he needs to show something. Screw Tony Grossi, he's just trying to stir crap up ever since he was fired from the PD
