The Dallas Cowboys agreed to terms on contracts with 21 undrafted free agents, including 14 players on the offensive side of the football. The list includes five offensive lineman, most notably Memphis guard Ronald Leary, a highly-rated player who has a chronic knee injury that Jerry Jones discussed during his post-draft press conference on Saturday night. "It’s about how long he can play," Jones said according to Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "That’s why he fell to where he fell...The coaches think he might be the readiest to come in here and help us more than any offensive lineman." Jeff Adams, T, Columbia, Levy Adcock, T, Oklahoma State, Cole Beasley, WR, SMU, Tim Benford, WR, Tennessee Tech, George Bryan, TE, North Carolina State, Taylor Dever, T, Notre Dame, Lance Dunbar, RB, North Texas, Harland Gunn, G, Miami, Saalim Hakim, WR, Tarleton State, Adrian Hamilton, DE, Prairie View A&M, Charley Hughlett, LS, Central Florida, Donavon Kemp, WR, UTEP, Ronald Leary, G, Memphis, Isaac Madison, CB, Arkansas, Tyrone Novikoff, T, Idaho, Darrell Scott, RB, South Florida, Lionel Smith, CB, Texas A&M, Andrew Szcrerba, TE, Penn State, Aston Whiteside, DE, Abilene Christian, Eddie Whitley, S, Virginia Tech, Troy Woolfork, CB, Michigan.

On that list I only see three or four guys making the team practice squad.

I understand Leary has a degenerative knee condition.

Keep your eye on Saalim Hakim. He's the younger brother of Az Hakim, who played for the Rams as a member of The Greatest Show On Turf. Saalim runs a 4.31 40 and had 18 NFL teams try to sign him up last month before he decided to sign with the Cowboys.

Rick Gosselin of the DMN did a column on him today.
