An estimated 1,200 spectators and 200 surfers including New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees gathered on the beachfront outside Junior Seau's home Sunday to honor the deceased former NFL star. Seau, a 20-year NFL veteran, died Wednesday in his Oceanside home of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, he was 43. Brees and other surfers paddled into the Pacific and formed a giant circle in what's called a 'paddle-out.' They periodically chanted the linebacker's name and slapped their hands against the water for an hour. "It is a beautiful day," Brees told USA TODAY Sports. "We were in the water where I know Junior loved to be. It was a beautiful day because Junior is present here with us." Brees, who played with Seau for two seasons in San Diego, wore a wetsuit and rode an orange and red surfboard, former Seau teammates John Carney and Darren Bennett also attended. "It was pretty unbelievable that so many people came out to pay tribute," Brees said. "Junior truly was an inspiring person and somebody who's spirit will live forever." Source: USAToday
Sometimes I wonder that buff is a clone account of Starkiller, but then sometimes I think they're both clones of an undercover butthole round here.
My opinion. I'm sure every teammate he has ever had was not there. Brees played with him two years and probably never talked to him after that. Brees is trying to play Mr. Magoo on this bounty scandal and to me that is bullcrap. He just does not want to lose his vicks vapor rub commercial.
