Former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski appeared on the Dan Patrick show today to talk about Cris Carter’s claims he offered money to teammates to target Romanowski. Romanowski said that Carter absolutely made this up. “If there would have been anything that would happen, it may have been during the game,†Romanowski said. “If he put a bounty on me, it wasn’t very good because it didn’t work,†Romanowski said. Romanowski thinks this is about publicity for Carter. “I just think this is his way of trying to make himself relevant for what is going on now,†Romanowski said. Romanowski said he’s not part of the concussion lawsuit, but he admitted he’s concerned about the long-term effects of playing, he said that all the hits add up. “There was not a game I played in where I didn’t see stars numerous time,†Romanowski said.
