While most NFL observers believe since the Vikings will be getting a new stadium, the two most logical teams to relocate to Los Angeles are the St. Louis Rams or San Diego Chargers. Both have outs in their leases and both owners are interested in either in a new stadium or stadium upgrade. Mark Purdy of The Contra Costa Times believes Oakland Raider fans should be worried about the future of their franchise. During an interview Davis said that Oakland was his preference. "I want it to work here," Davis said. "I'd like to stay here. But we have to find a way to (generate more revenue) .... We need to sell more season tickets. We're in a deficit-spending situation, and we need to start getting our revenue up." Davis only expressed his desire to not leave, while providing himself a verbal escape clause, should the team's bottom line not improve.

san diego doesn't deserve to lose their team. oakland should move to l.a. and jacksonville should move to san antonio and then everything will be where it should be.

Chargers aren't a horrible choice, they started in LA, their attendance is on the decline, the fan base isn't happy with the team and their lease is up after this season...

from a fan support perspective, san diego doesn't deserve to lose their team. they are consistently above 65,000 attendance and 90% of capacity on average, even during these years of mediocrity. yes, they have a stadium issue but the fan support in jacksonville, miami, cincinnati, st. louis, tampa bay, and some other teams is much more questionable than in san diego.

yep, it's a significant MSA and far enough away from dallas and houston.

The fans have been frustrated with the Chargers performance and it's beginning to show as their attendance has been on the decline consistently since 2007-08. There are 8 teams that are below the Chargers in total attendance, but their %-tages are higher than San Diego, Jacksonville being one of them. The Chargers aren't the first team I think of to move to LA, however, I wouldn't be surprised if they did and they were blacked out quite a few times last season if I remember correctly...
