While we wouldn't call it a full-fledged "movement" quite yet, a potential reunion between the Chargers and LaDainian Tomlinson has become a topic of conversation in San Diego the last few days. First came the huge reception for Tomlinson at the celebration of Junior Seau's life. Then came a column from Jay Paris in the North County Times where Paris pleads with GM A.J. Smith to "swallow his pride" and sign Tomlinson, the Chargers, after all, need a third down back, this almost makes sense. Last came an interview with Philip Rivers on XEPRS-AM in San Diego where he was asked about Tomlinson. "I love LT and all that he brought and meant to us when he was here. I don’t know if that is being considered or that’s even an option, but I wouldn’t have any objection to it whatsoever," Rivers said via SportsRadioInterviews.com. The Chargers could use a third down back, but there are other options out there and (Can someone give Justin Forsett a job already?) Tomlinson brings some baggage to the locker room, and has even more baggage with the front office. Source: NFL.com
