Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley was arrested early Sunday morning for driving under the influence and attempting to elude police. He was charged with DUI and attempting to elude police, but troopers also said Fairley was ticketed for reckless driving, no proof of insurance and having an open container. He posted $1750 bond and was released shortly after 9:00 Sunday morning. This is Fairley's second arrest in less than two months. He was arrested on April 3 for marijuana possession. What a terrible time to pull this crap. Going into his second season, one of the best d lines in the NFL, a chance to be one more dominant force on a line with suh, avril, vanden Bosch....the lions are getting ready for a Superbowl run and probably just lost one of their rising stars for a good chunk of the season. Wonder what his punishment, legal and football will be. Those are serious charges.
holy crap, it gets better.... Alabama state troopers say the 24-year-old passed a state trooper early Sunday morning at 100 mph in his Cadillac Escalade
I really did believe Fairley had talent coming out of Auburn. Sadly, he's trying to piss his career away with the boneheaded choices he's made the last few months.
He had off the field concerns coming out of college. Thought maybe it would take longer to heck up but glad he is true to form.
they play football in Europe? WTF??? Why wasn't I told about this. Oh, wait. You mean soccer. The fans do all the rowdiness.
