Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young problems aren't only with the sucker punch he threw a few weeks ago at teammate Louis Delmas and the reported "apathetic attitude" he displayed during OTA's. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, on Feb. 7, Young returned home after two weeks out of town to find his condominium had been broken into. Nothing was stolen, but plenty of property, including three TVs and his SUV, was damaged, according to a case report obtained from the Canton Police Department. The case was closed in early March without an arrest after Young did not return several voicemails and did not respond to a case status letter, according to the report.Young’s agent, Kevin Poston, did not respond to an interview request for Young, and the Lions said they would pass a request along when players return for practice Thursday. “You can infer that that kind of thing might indicate somebody that was angry or hostile toward whoever lived there,†Canton Detective Sgt. Dave Schreiner said. “Of course we’re speculating, but burglaries don’t usually occur where somebody breaks in to steal stuff and in so doing does a great amount of damage. That’s going to make noise and draw attention, so it was somewhat out of the ordinary for all the damage that was done there." “He did provide us with a name of a possible suspect,†Schreiner said. “It was a relative who he thought might be angry with him. We did investigate, but we just did not have enough information to charge anybody in the case or bring anybody up on charges, either that person or anyone else. So it remains a whodunit and without Mr. Young contacting us and helping us to go forward, we opted to close it.†Source: The Redzone
