According to Fox Sports' Len Pasquarelli, the Cowboys have rejected overtures from at least four teams who have called since the draft to inquire about Jenkins. Two teams -- the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts -- were already known to be interested parties. But Pasquarelli said that "at least two teams" in addition to the Lions and Colts have come calling, only to be rebuffed. Pasquarelli cited anonymous Dallas officials who said that the Cowboys feel they need "at least three top-shelf corners" for the upcoming season, and that Jenkins' team-friendly cap number of just over $1 million is a major reason for their interest in keeping him around. "Even if it means Jenkins departs as a free agent next spring and the team gets nothing in return," Pasquarelli wrote. "The Dallas source even discounted reports that Jenkins will be dealt much closer to the openings of training camps." Source: Dallas Morning News
Can never have enough decent corners on a team... but remember they were declining these suitors in a year or two while the Jenkins iron was hot. Course, I have no idea what these teams have been offering...
