Cowboys fullback Lawrence Vickers left the field the first hour of practice during Wednesday's OTA practice holding his right hand near his waist while being escorted to the locker room by head athletic trainer Jim Mauer, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports. During a play, Vickers said he felt a stinging sensation below his waist. "Fire ants got in my pants," Vickers said. "I was freaking out. Oh, ants!" Vickers had good reason for his reaction to the ants, about four months ago while working out, Vickers was stung by fire ants and his neck swelled and be began wheezing and that's when he found out that he was allergic to fire ants. Vickers said he now carries an EpiPen around with him everywhere he goes just in case he needs to treat a severe allergic reaction to fire ant stings. Vickers explained why he was slumped over, with his right hand near his waist, as he left the field for the locker room in front of a horde of media. "I was trying not to squeeze myself in front of women out there," Vickers said. "I wanted to pull my pants down and run inside, but I couldn't do that. When those ants get close to those testicles, there ain't no laughing about that." Source: The Redzone
HAHA ouch! My girlfriend and I learned a lesson camping once. Red ants sting all at the same time. We were kind of drunk and didnt notice we were standing on top of a damn ant hill and all of the sudden both my legs started burning.
