Aries vs Joe opened the show and wow, that was an amazing match. If you are a wrestling fan, go out of your way to watch this match. 6/10 TNA Slammiversary PPV results and review: Bobby Roode vs. Sting for the TNA Title, WWE star Christian, the first TNA Hall of Famer revealed, Daniels and Kazarian vs. Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles for the TNA Tag Titles Spoiler Austin Aries defeated Samoa Joe to retain the X Division Title in 11:45. Powell's POV: That was truly awesome. Both wrestlers worked their asses off and the live crowd was hot for everything they did. Here's hoping we get more from those two. There's no reason that couldn't be a big television main event with the right buildup. For that matter, if TNA positioned the X Division Title properly and gave them more in-ring time, that would be more than suitable as a pay-per-view main event.
Not a bad match but nothing special between Hernandez and Kid Kash. Only memorable moment was a jump over the top rope outside by Hernandez. 6/10 TNA Slammiversary PPV results and review: Bobby Roode vs. Sting for the TNA Title, WWE star Christian, the first TNA Hall of Famer revealed, Daniels and Kazarian vs. Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles for the TNA Tag Titles Spoiler Hernandez defeated Kid Kash in 5:50. Powell's POV: Fine for what it was. The live crowd warmed up to it and were fairly vocal considering hot hot they were for the previous match and, more importantly, that neither guy has been on television lately. There was no sign of Sarita or Rosita, and Hernandez played to the live crowd as a babyface during the match. Garrett Bischoff next....ugh... 86WARD, As for Sting, he was doing a Joker gimmick before and was all crazy andwhat not but still fighting for what is right BS storyline and his look now is just remnants of a storyline that TNA should have never crapped out.
That Bischoff tag match was just stupid. Robbie E and his blown up buddy are a joke and Devon's doing nothing for the TV title that they were supposedly going to focus on. Throw in Garrett Bischoff who's only being pushed because of who his dad was and you had a sappy match to get the marks to cheer for the faces. PFW's recap pretty much doesn't even talk about the match, so what does that tell you? 6/10 TNA Slammiversary PPV results and review: Bobby Roode vs. Sting for the TNA Title, WWE star Christian, the first TNA Hall of Famer revealed, Daniels and Kazarian vs. Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles for the TNA Tag Titles Spoiler Devon and Garett Bischoff defeated Robbie E and Robbie T. Powell's POV: The person or persons who thought it would be cool if Devon and Garett danced together after the match was dead wrong. Madison should immediately reconsider if she has the hots for either one of them.
Hardy vs Anderson vs Van Dam on now, should be entertaining. Let's see if Van Dam can show he still belongs in the main event scene. I think he's a dinosaur who needs to start laying down to the young guys on his way out.
The three way match was good for what it was. The right man goes over on this one. 6/10 TNA Slammiversary PPV results and review: Bobby Roode vs. Sting for the TNA Title, WWE star Christian, the first TNA Hall of Famer revealed, Daniels and Kazarian vs. Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles for the TNA Tag Titles Spoiler Mr. Anderson defeated Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy in a three-way in 11:35 to earn a TNA Title shot. Powell's POV: A fun spot fest with all three men working hard and a live crowd that was receptive to the high spots. The fans weren't given any incentive to root for one man over the other, so most fans just seemed to pop for the hight spots and enjoyed the action. If Roode wins then I'm sure people will say Anderson spoiled the main event finish with his line at the end. He really should have said the names of Roode and Sting, but I can live with it since Roode is the current champion. Crimson's opponent is James Storm, the "Goldberg" winning streak is on the line.
Well no way to get around it without spoiling my whole damn post... Spoiler Crimson's mystery opponent was James Storm and that was actually a good thing as far as booking goes. They have been building to the Storm vs Roode showdown so give Storm a win to end Crimson's streak while also finally aborting the storyline about his streak. He's a decent heel and needs to be given a reason to claw his way on top.
Money promo from Austin Aries after the Storm/Crimson match. He's one of the best thing this company has and I hope they continue to build him up right.
6/10 TNA Slammiversary PPV results and review: Bobby Roode vs. Sting for the TNA Title, WWE star Christian, the first TNA Hall of Famer revealed, Daniels and Kazarian vs. Kurt Angle and A.J. Styles for the TNA Tag Titles Spoiler James Storm pinned Crimson in 2:10. Powell's POV: I mentioned this possibility in my predictions article earlier today. It was a cool moment as the crowd was hot for Storm making his return and they seemed to forget about Bill Goldberg immediately. The bad news is that they blew off the Crimson unbeaten streak without getting much out of it.
TNA is announcing that Sting is their first hall of fame inductee. Hats off to him, but why not choose someone who's still not competing? Oh wait.....all the old guys still are on TNA's payroll. Roode better go over Sting to make this show a success. Anything less and they've ruined his run IMO. Word is Christian is supposed to be part of the show, not the hall of famer people suspected though.
Brooke Tessmacher vs Gail Kim for the Knockouts Title. This will be the post pics of the divas segment of the show.
Holy crap the second picture in the of those 4 is amazing. god**mn. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
Yes that is the one. Possibly the best picture I've ever seen. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket
Well she's the winner over Gail Kim and she takes the Knockout title. She was a model-turned wrestler who's worked her butt off to learn her job. Good for her. More Tessmacher...
