Plaxico Burress said in a radio interview that he wants to play for the Carolina Panthers. "My brother lives right there in Charlotte, my cousin lives there in Charlotte, and all my family is there in Columbia, South Carolina. It would just be a great situation all the way around and being close to everybody," Burress said. "Not just that, but playing with Cam, who I think is one of the top five quarterbacks in all of football, and as long as I can remember Steve Smith has been one of my favorites. I just think it's a great situation." Unfortunately the Panthers don't have interest in Burress according to Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer. Source: The Redzone
I cant believe he is still out there, i was shocked to see Ochocinco be taken in first than Plax. He is a great red zone threat and would work well with Smith on the other side
There's your answer. Plus, Ochocinco still has the potential to be a decent receiver if he's able to bounce back, where as Plax is pretty much limited to being a big body to throw high to, almost akin to an expensive, black Joe Jurevicius with character issues.
