Brian Banks' story has already garnered plenty of attention and emotions, with his exoneration from rape charges after being falsely accused and then imprisoned. But Banks, a former college football prospect before his troubles began, is determined to get himself in good enough shape to get an NFL team to sign him by the time training camps start. Banks says on his Twitter account, "I have a month to train, GET BETTER, and then the tryouts restart rt before camps. I'm determined, and relentless. I've already won" To date, Banks has worked out for the San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs, but has not convinced any of them to sign him as yet.

Well maybe he needs to play in another league first? He can get into shape and show what he has, if he crushes it, he'll have teams looking to sign him.

Its a great story and all but if I were a GM this guy wouldnt get any more than a token sniff from me. He surely doesnt bring any more to the table than any number of UDFA's and probably quite a bit less than most of them. Dude hasn't seen anything more than a HS playbook, let alone played at anything remotely close to a professional level...not to mention conditioning. It's not even like he's some physical freak of an athlete that runs a 4 flat at 260 and puts up 120 reps, in which case I could kind of understand his getting a shot. He's an average sized slowish guy straight off the street. I wish him all the best and hope he does make it, but theres a lot of guys straight out of college waiting for a shot that are just as deserving, have better credentials, and would have a far smaller learning curve. Dude needs to get a gig in another league and get tuned up before he even thinks about the big leagues.

he could find a home on a practice squad....special teams and what not would be good. hes got some potential and isnt really slowish running a 4.6 at his size right out of prison. i think he could make a squad, not holding my breath but im rooting for him.

and i hope the girl gets raped for real, dont judge me
