Former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly has never been shy to voice his opinion. And on his most recent rant, he dropped on bomb on the Jets’ quarterback situation, itching for a quarterback controversy between Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. “As a Buffalo Bills fan, I hope there’s so much turmoil during training camp, I hope Tebow plays great, he pushes Sanchez, and all of a sudden the locker room is coming apart,†Kelly told Andrew Siciliano on NFL Network’s “Total Access.†“They open with the Buffalo Bills first game of the season in the Meadowlands (Sept. 9, 1 p.m.), so this could be very exciting.†Kelly added he would hate to be in Sanchez’s shoes, knowing that the first time the Jets’ fourth-year QB throws an interception or fumbles away a key possession, the legendary fickle Gang Green fans will be praying for Tebow to take the field. “I really, to be honest with you, don’t know what they were thinking,†Kelly said. “Me, if I was a general manager or a president or the owner of a team, I would not have done that.†Source: New York Daily News
It will unless this lights a significant fire under Sanchez's butt and he actually performs well. I know, long shot...
Who doesn't want to see a big, dramatic mess in New York? The Jets are kind of like a nice little soap opera drama on the side while the real teams in the league go about their business. :icon_cheesygrin:
