Denver Broncos second-round draft pick quarterback Brock Osweiler is still unsigned, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports. Osweiler will get a four-year deal worth $3.04 million, or similar to the deal that Detroit running back Mikel Leshoure received last year as the No. 57 overall selection. The difference is Osweiler hoping for a little more guarantee because of the so-called “quarterback premium.†Source: The Redzone
Baby please. Take what they offer. There's a wage scale for you mutts now. Earn it on the field and you will earn it in your bank account.
thing is he won't earn it. Got Scott Mitchell written all over him. Besides, I listened to him talk with Gruden and he was funny while trying to be serious. Needs acting lessons. Will be a bust as far as being a second rounder.
the guy has tools to work with, im not sure how being a bad actor while talking to gruden assures him of busting. hes playing behind peyton manning and looks like a poor mans roethlisberger to me when he plays, super athletic and elusive despite being huge. i dont think his ceiling is super high but i wouldnt declare him a bust just yet
It looks like it is all about appearances with him. Just because he is a tall guy people think he will be a good quarterback. Go back and watch the interview and see if he has the mental makeup to be a good quarterback. The bad acting was just a personal dig for me. I don't think that even Manning can help this guy. Seems like he just wants the ancillary things that comes with the position.
being a tall QB actually stack the odds against him. He was a solid second round prospect though, he could have worked his way into the first but it didnt work out that way. Imo hes every bit the player joe flacco was coming out of delaware big guy, huge arm, shaky accuracy, needs work in some areas but has some great awareness and escapablity. Id say hes like the illegitimate love child between ryan mallet, joe flacco, and derek anderson....unfortunately, that could end up going so many different ways
I just look at the body of work and it is seriously lacking. I know people are drafted on size and speed without much thought of actual talent but the position of qb is different. You lose more money if you miss than if it was like a receiver or another position player. Not a Bronco fan but this could hurt the team later. Peyton may play for another two to three years. You really need a qb in training to take over and this sets them back for years. Unless they get another veteran qb.
He has some things I like and some I don't. He was terrible on the Gruden show. Not sure what you mean by "acting" but he showed a lack of football intelligence for sure.
he overemphasized stuff. extreme arm movements. just seemed like he was trying to act like he is a leader.
