The San Diego Chargers are one of the franchises that could take advantage of relaxed rules when it comes to local television blackouts. The Chargers, despite some fine regular seasons before the last two years, have struggled to fill up Qualcomm Stadium. Maybe it’s because fans are waiting to see them finally deliver in the postseason, that’s probably just one of the many reasons. The club isn’t sitting around waiting for die-hard Chargers’ fans to open their wallets any longer, nope. The Chargers are now directly appealing to fans of other clubs as they look for sellouts (or close to it) during the 2012 season. Source: National Football Post
Man that really pisses me off for some reason. Why the heck are you going to target and cater to your opponents fans? Maybe it's because of all the Bears and Packers fans that magically appear when they are in town playing the Bucs. Or the sudden influx of Yankee/Red Sox fans when they are in town. Glad I'm not a Chargers fan.
Well, in the team's defense the fans aren't supporting the team. I am just surprised they haven't come out and voiced their wanting to move to LA.
agreed....S.D. is just a weird place for a sports team.....there are so many military and transplants here
you put trash on the field, no wonder the other teams come out in droves, they gonna fukin win the game
