The New Orleans Saints have signed fourth-round wide receiver Nick Toon to a four-year, $2.5 million contract that includes a signing bonus of roughly $410,000. Toon is a 6-foot-4, 218-pound wide receiver from Wisconsin who's the son of former New York Jets wide receiver Al Toon. Toon, 23, caught 171 career passes for the Badgers for 2,447 yards and 18 touchdowns. Toon was named a second-team All-Big Ten Conference selection, catching 64 passes for 926 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Al Toon was a three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver with the Jets.

Our GM Ruston Webster drafts well, but he re-signed FS Michael Griffin to a long term deal after Griff was embarrassed week after week, so there's no doubt in my mind our front office is half goobered.

I think Brees makes our receivers look better. Glad our picks are signed. Maybe our future is looking better.
