The NFL responded to Saints LB Jonathan Vilma’s latest request for an expedited hearing for a temporary restraining order against the league. In Vilma’s request, he cites that he could suffer “irreparable damage†during time he should be rehabbing with the Saints. According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, Vilima went to Germany in July for a procedure. Vilma is rehabbing a knee injury he played through last season. "Mr. Vilma is incorrect about the ability of the Saints medical staff to interact with him during his suspension; while Mr. Vilma may not attend the Club facility, he can rehabilitate and condition at a private facility and Saints trainers and physicians can monitor and help guide his rehabilitation there,†the league stated, according to NFL.com’s Steve Wyche. The Saints' head trainer filed an affadavit in support of Vilma’s request to continue his rehab and recovery with the Saints’ staff.

So, the staff can help him but not at the Saints facility? Shouldn't be a problem. He can give up just about on having that suspension overturned or shortened. Especially now. But if he can receive support from the training staff still, then he should.
