With Troy Vincent being the latest player enshrined by the organization into their hall of fame, it makes you wonder.....will Donovan McNabb get in? Here's a guy who led the Eagles to four straight and five overall NFC Title games. Yet he only won once, and when he did get to the Super Bowl, he lost in a game where he's best remembered for throwing up. Does Mcnabb deserve to stand alongside the following list of names?
Heeelllllll no! McNabb wasn't a good teammate. He put up pretty numbers in a pass heavy offense, always choked and nothing was ever his fault.
This one is touchy. He did have a tremendous defense to back him up. I looked at his stats and they are not that great. Averaged less than 60 per cent completion and around 220 yards a game. But at that time his receiving corps was not that great. Hard one to figure. Personally, after hearing that he didn't do his homework or tried to stay in shape I would have to say no. Before hearing that I liked McNabb. But not now. Your Qb is arguably the most important position on the team. They should set the example for the team and if they slack then the others will do also. Team HOF? Can't see how it would hurt but def not the major HOF.
He carried the offense for like, 3 years. He should without a doubt be in the Eagles Hall Of Fame and if he can get the MIB flashy thingy and retire in 2009 maybe even Canton. When he left the Eagles and was AWFUL in Washington and Minnesota he solidified he'd NEVER be in the Pro Football Hall Of Fame. I don't think he deserves Canton but if he had just retired after 09 he MAY have gotten in. Doubt it would've happened but NO DOUBT belongs in the Eagles Hall Of Fame. He's arguably the best QB in Eagles history. As far as Cunningham, are you speaking Canton? I'd say yes but am not upset he's not. He was a game changer and a QB on a WHOLE different plain than anyone else. Marginal Hall Of Famer.
not even a question for the eagles hof. if you ask him about canton he says no doubt he'll be there and i agree 100%. no way he misses dawkins' enshrinement.
