The Steelers believe Mike Wallace will not report today for training camp and will resume a holdout that occurred all spring over contract negotiations according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. With that stance by Wallace, the Steelers are likely to suspend negotiations on a multiple-year contract for their Pro Bowl wide receiver. Next move, then, is up to Wallace apparently. He can either sign his one-year, $2.472 million offer on the table and report to training camp or, stay away.

2.4 million is low for his caliber receiver they really need him to probably not gonna have the best run game with RM out.

sanders/brown/cotchery is a solid group, but wallace makes its a top 5 group

it was a good move by wallace not to show, it was a good move by the steelers to suspend talks as talks were heating up. this is chess, is business as usual. Wallace will probably report and sign day 3-5 i would imagine and talks would resume

I agree with Ward and K-train and think he'll stay out a few days resigning him ASAP should definitely be a priority for them. Speed like his doesn't come around very often.
