Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis joined Lance McAlister during Sports Talk on 700 WLWon Wednesday when Lance asked about Dre Kirkpatrick's injury. Lewis began with the more logical and obvious response. "It’s really a minor injury. Unfortunately too much has been made of this again." Lewis said that Kirkpatrick will be fine sooner rather than later. "It’s a setback for him because he’s going to have to take some time. The good thing is he’s here with our people. He’s done everything asked of him. It’s been a couple of weeks, so he’s pretty far along now with it. Things will sort (?) out and he’ll be fine. Too much gets made of this stuff and I know there’s nothing else important, other than A-Rod getting hurt yesterday." When Lance asked if the start of the season is in jeopardy for Kirkpatrick, Lewis, in Mike Zimmer fashion, said, "No, I don't." Source: SBNation.com
