Justin Barney of the Florida Times-Union seems to think so: Should the Jaguars consider dumping him if things turn ugly? And what would/should they get in return for him?
I say yes. His trade value only has so long left. They suck anyway. If they can get good trade value they should do it.
I agree that they won't be good for at least a year or two (bare minimum), and he'll be declining by then, so if they can get good value it's a good move.
I think he got a fair deal and i wouldnt trade him, eventually if they wanna re work the deal and move some money up fine but what is he gonna do, sit out?
Word on the street is yes: http://gridironfans.com/forums/late...rs-rb-maurice-jones-drew-willing-holdout.html
Sit his ass, collect the fines he'll have to pay and let him hang out at home. Screw him. He has a fair deal he shouldn't have signed if it's "not fair" or whatever. Dude was barely the leading rusher last year. Great player, yes. But not worth getting Sanduskied over. Same crap with Revis. Screw these guys.
