Training camp means many things the latest reason for the spotlight is Rex Ryan ripping Santonio Holmes because Holmes decided to rip the idea of a two-quarterback system. Ryan was asked by ESPN's Sal Paolantonio about Holmes comments on Thursday, and responded by reminding Holmes that his job is to catch passes, not call plays. "Well, I understand what Holmes is saying, you know Tone's talking about a guy ... [the starting quarterback] has to get a feel and all that kind of stuff," Ryan said. "But I brought Santonio in here to be a receiver, not to be the offensive coordinator. And that's the way it is." The Jets reportedly plan to replace Mark Sanchez with Tim Tebow when they get in the red zone. Santonio isn't the only person who's skeptical of the idea, but he's the only guy on the Jets to come out and publicly say something about it. Ryan claims he's cool with that and understands that not everyone will be on board with the plan. "We are always never going to be all lined up," Ryan said. "We don't tell guys what to say and what not to say, all that kind of stuff. I understand where [Santonio] is coming from about the rhythm of a quarterback and all that kind of stuff. Again, we will make those decisions."
