Bryant McKinnie reportedly has been fined $30,000 by the Baltimore Ravens for missing the start of training camp, and the offensive tackle's roster spot could also be in jeopardy. Whether or not Baltimore Ravens left tackle Bryant McKinnie's absence from the start of training camp will cost him his spot on the roster is yet to be determined, but not being in Owings Mills, Md. this week will definitely cost him some money. According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, the Ravens have fined McKinnie $30,000 for failing to report to training camp on Wednesday. The maximum allowable daily fine is $30,000 for an unexcused absence from mandatory training under the 2011 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said on Thursday that a representative for the left tackle reached out to the team to inform them that McKinnie is dealing with an issue, Harbaugh declined to delve into specifics, leaving it up to McKinnie to speak on the matter. He probably could have avoided this if he had the guts to call personally and explain why he hasnt shown up instead of having a "representative" do it.
