NFL commissioner Roger Goodell gave a pep talk of sorts during his visit to Western New York, according to the Buffalo News. Goodell wants fans to continue to support the Bills as they work to get a new stadium. "The fans need to do everything they can to support the Bills, and we're going to work hard to make sure they continue to be successful here," Goodell said. "There's no reason why they can't be. "We have a new collective-bargaining agreement. We have revenue sharing. All those will be beneficial to making sure the team continues to be successful for years right here in Western New York, and that's where we want to see them." The Bills have several issues before them, including needing a new stadium to replace Ralph Wilson Stadium at some point soon. Goodell called that "a high priority." Wilson, the Bills founder who is in his 90s, remains the only owner the club has ever known, but the franchise will be sold after he passes on.
