A guy who's a great clubhouse guy, but who needs the police to live in his backyard, or a guy who's great in the community, but a cancer in the clubhouse?

    Discuss.

Depends how good/great of a player he is, veteran or rookie

I think cancer in the clubhouse is more
"curable" than police in the back yard...

No need to be in the police blotter. What happens in the club house should stay in the club house.

Do I have to pick between the two? I would rather have a good guy with a little less talent. Clubhouse cancer can rip a team apart, ie Joe Horn. A guy who is on first name bases with every bail bondsman can't help if he is always suspended. There are certain positions in which you need excessive testosterone. Offensive line and Defensive line and Linebackers. Can't expect someone to play balls out on Sunday and be a choir boy the rest of the time. But if you have leaders that can keep a fool in line then I would have to go for the police .

I would have to go with option c which is neither. Locker room cancers ususally don't own up to what they're doing wrong. Some players who break the law do take responsibility for their actions, then again, some don't. So having one or the other is a lose lose situation the way I see it.

  7. I'll take the guy who needs the police. Hopefully he figures it out. Plus, I don't have to micromanage him outside the locker room.
