The Dallas Cowboys were already facing some Texas-sized problems concerning their offensive depth, now they've got a major new issue to worry about. The Dan Patrick Show first reported that Cowboys tight end Jason Witten suffered internal bleeding following a hit against the Raiders on Monday night. ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio confirmed the news and said that surgery has not been planned at this time, but it also hasn't been ruled out, he reports Witten will miss the rest of preseason. The most telling part of the story: Nick Eatman of the team's official website also reports Witten could miss the rest of the preseason. Witten's status for Week 1 is in question and while this isn't a press release from the team, it should be alarming to Cowboys fans that the team's website is willing to admit the injury is so serious. He will be ok, remember the dude played with a broken wired jaw once Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I think the worst part is, Witten WOULD play if they would allow him to.. dude is tough. Wish him the speediest of recoveries... him and every freaking other injured player we have.

I just hope he doesn't try to come back before he should. If he does that, and he aggravates the injury and is lost for the season, then where will we be?
We mustn't worry Jon Phillips is the second coming right that's everybody was saying Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
This an injury not to be taken lightly....remember a few years back Chris Simms ruptured his and finished the game, then ended up the the hospital and almost died
Look at it like this, we get to see what Hanna and Phillips can do. Id be more worried if one of those two get hurt as well.
