Bears Pessimistic LB Brian Urlacher Will Be Ready For Opener

    Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has been sidelined for most of training camp with a left knee injury. There was a report in the Chicago Tribune Wednesday that Urlacher went to Europe for a treatment no approved by the FDA.

    Urlacher is hoping to get back on the field by the Bears opener but it might not happen.

    Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports he was told the Bears are pessimistic that Urlacher will be ready on opening day.

    Personally, I'd rather see him miss the opener against the Colts and suit up for the Thursday nighter in Green Bay. Then, he would have 10 days off after that.
