Russell Wilson made his case for Seattle's starting quarterback spot, as the rookie threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks' 44-14 preseason win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson got the start in the team's third preseason game ahead of Matt Flynn, the club's most notable free-agent addition during the offseason, and played into the third quarter. He completed 13-of-19 passes while rushing for 58 yards on only two carries, while Flynn sat out with a sore elbow.

Wilson threw TD passes to Kellen Winslow and Charly Martin in the second quarter as the Seahawks rolled to a 23-7 halftime lead.

Robert Turbin, also a rookie, carried the ball 14 times for 93 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for Seattle, which improved to 3-0 in exhibition play.

Kid looked good. They better hold on to him and not let him slip by. Wonder who is going to be odd man out between Jackson and Flynn.

Wilson would have been a 1st round if he was 3-4 inches taller.

Flynn having a "tired" or "sore" arm is going to make the backup QB situation really interesting. I don't think the Seahawks wanted to put Jackson on the field if they didn't have to, but their hand was kind of forced when Flynn got hurt. Wilson's taking the starting job- two weeks ago I'd have called bullcrap on that thought, but it's all but sewn up now I think.

They wouldn't let their starter 'slip by'. Russell has been the talk of camp and has made the most of every preseason game. Barring an epic flop next game (he'll get plenty of playing time), he is QB1. Which is friggin' awesome.

The touch and ball placement this dude has is unreal.

I think it's no question that it will be Jackson...unless they solidify that Wilson is the starter and they put Flynn on the trade block instead of Jackson. I could see the Cards look to trade for Flynn...
