Sebastian Janikowski injured his left groin in the second quarter of the Oakland Raiders' preseason game against the Detroit Lions.

After Darren McFadden scored to give Oakland a 7-3 lead, the kicker's injury came on the following kickoff. After the play, Janikowski had his kicking leg stretched by trainers, and the report came that he would be finished for the night with a sore groin. No further report on the seriousness of the injury is known at this time.

Janikowski, the 13-year pro, holds a career field goal percentage of 88.6%, with a career long of 63 yards which ties the all-time NFL record.

I love Sea Bbutt. A lot. I have to admit though, it was slightly comical that he did that trying to catch the kick returner, without even making any contact with him. He was standing around a lot not too long after it occurred, so he's probably fine. Otherwise I will be upset. ;(

I also gotta mention that his replacement was great, he landed a 56 yard FG. : )
