Its an opinion i like it the way it is not really ignorant and dont see expanding internationally as a positive thing. Alot of people probably think the same thing. Theres alot of reasons to not do it what about when they have a team and start drafting players. Your telling me these players should have to relocate out of the country? Alot of them probably wouldent want to do that. Yea they could travel back and forth but they would have to practice there every day and play 8 homegames there. Its a horrible idea imo

Obviously not but that has nothing to do with not wanting the sport of football to go international

Just the OTAs would be a nightmare for players...and the season wouldn't have started yet.

Yes Im sure theyd be totally opposed to making tens of millions of dollars and being "forced" to live in an awesome foreign country where they are treated like royalty and cant get DUI's. Thats the kind of crap people dream about and spend large amounts of their own money just to be able to do for a couple weeks, yet you'd be opposed to doing it for a few years for millions. Yeah. That'd be real heckin rough.

This. The logistics would be a nightmare to deal with.

awesome country? to each his own i guess

You can get payed millions of dollars and stay in america so that has nothing to do with it and im pretty sure you can get duis anywhere

So why didn't you state this rather than going for the redneck-style zenophobic response? I can't speak for others but I presume most believe it's a non starter (as I do to).

Saying the sport and the league should only be for "Americans" is ignorant not to mention an insult to the many international fans who have adopted the game and gone out of their way to be able to watch and follow it. I'm sure any Americans on here that have gone overseas can vouch for that, as there ain't round the clock spoon feeding of the game on major networks like you guys have. Crap, as a kid the only time I could see any NFL would be a short segment on a world sport round up show on a Saturday morning and the Superbowl on a channel that only 50% of the country received.

But hey, I'm not American, so I should just shut up and watch Soccer...right?

IMO I don't think this is a good idea

I'm all for expanding it as others have said a brand new league call
    nFLE brilliant

Couple of games a season is good

I think Canada or Mexico would get one first.

    Before basket jumps in

American football has been played for years in Mexico and Canada and technically part of America as north America

When was the last time you ever heard of anybody in England geting a DUI? Thats right, never. I'd much rather spend my time in London than craphole Philly, thats for freaking sure.

I wonder why you all talk about the logistics? A flight from (i.e.) NYC to Oakland, need the same logistic effort, as a flight to the UK. Maybe customs will need some more time...

Screw the NFL. Stupidest idea ever. Put a franchise somewhere in the United States Of America before sending a franchise over to London. There's PLENTY of space in the US for teams. The Seahawks traveling to London for a game would be freaking AWFUL. Might as well toss a team in Australia while we're at it!

A NFL team doesn't travel with just the players and coaches. Think of the equipment too. You have to get that overseas and back too. Then you throw in the prep time thanks to the extra travel and it's a scramble all week for the road team. It's a huge disadvantage.

Dunno, do you still travel by carriages? We just use planes over here and it doesn't make any difference, if you put all that equippment in a plane that flies to London, or Paris. contrary to the random games here, would a London based team already have their own stuff and anything that will be need for the officials and others.
