The Arizona Cardinals are in a real jam on the offensive line as they look to replace Levi Brown at left tackle after he was lost to a season-ending injury. D.J. Young got the first crack at replacing him in the preseason game last Thursday at Tennessee but he struggled mightily. That led the club to try D’Anthony Batiste, and he did a little bit better and now appears to have the inside track. But at practice on Monday, the Cardinals used veteran Daryn Colledge at left tackle for a few plays, exploring an option that has not been tried yet. Colledge told Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic he is only a “contingency plan.†“We only dress so many guys and if we have an injury, we need to have a contingency plan,†Colledge said. “I plan on being left guard and a damn good one this year.†Source: National Football Post
