Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Steelers and WR Mike Wallace still have not made any progress towards a long-term extension that would keep Wallace in Pittsburgh. Wallace returned to the team just over a week ago, but previous reports mentioned that the Steelers were willing to discuss a contract extension. Pittsburgh was reportedly willing to offer him $10 million a season, but Wallace’s target is expected to slightly higher than that. Pittsburgh doesn’t typically negotiate contracts during the season, so it seems as though Wallace is set to become an unrestricted free agent following the season. Source: NFL Trade Rumors
