Redskins general manager Bruce Allen said he's left the door open for re-signing tight end Chris Cooley.

The Redskins released Cooley on Aug. 28 after he spent eight years with the team.

Cooley has caught 428 passes for 4,703 yards and 33 touchdowns in his career, including eight catches for 65 yards last season.

They have a qb that can actually get him the ball. Always thought he was a serviceable tight end. Just wait until after game one so Harper doesn't have to cover him.
