New York Jets safety Laron Landry said he wasn't celebrating over injured Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson, even though it appeared that way following his hit. “I’m a passionate player,†Landry told the New York Post. “I play with emotion. I don’t wish any hurt on anybody. I’ve been through injury-prone seasons two years in a row. I would hate to see anyone go through that. I was playing with passion, I made a tackle, was happy about it and that was that. I give it all I’ve got and I leave it on the field.†Jackson hurt his knee on the play and could miss several weeks as he recovers from the injury. Source: National Football Post
Didn't see it, but don't see how anyone could mistake his enthusiasm for making a play with joy over injuring another player. Like he said, he's been bitten by the injury bug before and knows how much of a pain in the butt it is.
He probably just got paid 10 grand for injuring the guy. I kid I kid, I think he was just excited about a decent play, players out there celebrate just about anything now, every hit is a celebration.
