A lot has been made about Wes Welker only playing 64 percent of the offensive snaps Sunday against the Titans. Welker played nearly 90 percent of the total snaps last season and never dropped below 70 percent in a single game last season. Some view Welker's decreased role as a sign that he is being phased out of the offense. Quarterback Tom Brady doesn't think it is an issue, though. He believes that Welker is a big piece of the offense and will continue to be one moving forward. "There are going to be games where Wes has not had as many opportunities and there are going to be games where he has a ton of opportunities. It all depends on how the game may play out or the situation of the game," Brady said. "But he's a huge part of this offense and what we do on a weekly basis. I'm sure there won't be too many games where he doesn't get a lot of opportunity." Source: MassLive.com
