Vince Young is not only out of the NFL six years after being the third overall pick in the 2006 draft, but he is also out of funds, according to a report from the Associated Press. Young, who was selected by the Tennessee Titans in '06 after leading the University of Texas to a national championship with an incredible performance in the Rose Bowl earlier that year, signed a six-year, $58 million package with the Titans, including $26 million guaranteed. Rumors of Young's money problems began to crop up even when he was still with the Titans, but the story out today documents much of what had been rumored. Young has sued his former agent Major Adams over what he claims was the mishandling of much of his money. Young is on the hook for nearly $1.7 million for a lockout loan to Pro Player Funding after missing a payment, though he has gone to court, saying it was not his signature on the documents. it's really unfortunate that so many of these guys have crap for brains when it comes to money. They should be set for life with their first big contract but instead they just piss it away.
pat yourself on the back if you had ryan kalil, steve smith, and jamaal charles being the top talent from that rose bowl game
That Wonderlic might not tell us a ton about how a player will perform on the field, but it sure as hell gives us a glimpse as to what to expect once the career is over.
