2012 New Orleans Saints Discussion Thread

Let's hope history repeats itself......Spags D (that won a championship in 07) gave up 80 points the first two games. NY wanted to run him outta town. After those two games they only gave up 20 or more 5 times over the next 18 games (including playoffs)

 

Yeah, Let's hope it repeats. Though I don't want to see Panthers hang 40 on us lol.

 

Let's hope so but I think they had a better front four in NY.

 

I see this situation on D getting sorted out in time, its always a struggle switching up Defensive Coordinators.

 

maybe so but still covering people is kinda basic. there were people running free.

I dont even want to watch. Defense looked decent earlier, then couldn't do anything. A dropped pass by Graham. And Moore for a TD early on cost a TD. The referees again didn't do ANY favors. But, they NEED to sort this out. Maybe next week against the Chiefs? I dont know.. but im not happy lol.

 

I hate to admit it, but we're missing Payton and we desperately need a deep threat WR.

luckily the Chiefs are terrible. They could bounce back if they were in a weaker division. Going to be real tough though in the NFC South this year

 

I hope upon hope that our defense does improve. If they get their crap together then we will bounce back. Personally I don't see it but it can happen.

Speaking as a Chiefs fan I think the Saints probably did more to beat themselves than the Chiefs did to actually win. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

 

Thanks for those words but I think your run game is decent if not good. Can't really follow the Chiefs anymore. Used to be a fan back in the 80's with Derrick Thomas and the Nigerian Nightmare. Our defense sucks and our playcalling has a lot to be desired. Didn't think we would miss Sean Payton like we are. I just hope the year off don't affect him when he comes back. The Chiefs deserved to win that game. Here's to the number one over all pick next year. That is if Roger doesn't take that one away.
