There will be a familiar face inside the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday afternoon when the St. Louis Rams host the Seattle Seahawks. Short-lived defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been given special permission to attend the game, permission from the NFL itself which now governs his every move.

This is the first NFL game, the first NFL anything, for Williams since he was exiled to the NFL's version of Corsica for his role in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal.

He did sign an affidavit that said Jonathan Vilma put money into the bounty pool for a hit on Brett Favre, which won't exactly make Williams the most popular guy in the room ... but at least he'll be more popular than Pete Carroll inside the building today.

Williams' son Blake has taken over most of the defensive play calling duties in his father's absence, the titular head of the Rams coordinator by committee approach to the defense.
