Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has been voted as the AFC defensive player of the month. In the Texans’ 4-0 start, Watt has 32 tackles, 7 ½ sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback pressures, five passes deflected and two fumble recoveries. In his second season, Watt has helped the Texans rank first in defense and allow the fewest points in the league going into Monday night’s game against the New York Jets.
