Former Washington Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann took some shots at Tony Romo and Jerry Jones during a Tuesday radio interview. On Friday, Jones responded. Theismann was most critical of Romo, telling Sportsnet 590 The Fan in Toronto that the Cowboys signal-caller “isn’t a very good quarterback,†“makes bad decisions with the football†and “has too many bad games.†He then called out Jones, criticizing the Cowboys owner and general manager for making poor decisions because he’s “not a football guy.†“You have to ask yourself, ‘Is the owner holding back this football team with football decisions?’ And I think yes. I really do,†Theismann said. “I think Jerry Jones is so emotionally involved in this game that he can’t make a decision that I think effects this football team positively.†During an interview on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM], Jones said he didn’t have anything to say in response to those comments, but then followed with, “That’s Joe.†“I’ve had him critique us before and those weren’t necessarily on point,†Jones added, “so I really don’t have any comment on that.†Source: Dallas Morning News
Much better job of limiting what your mouth says, Jerry... but... just so you know, that is a comment.
Jerry is more the mouthpiece/ lightning rod of the Cowboys now. Stephan pretty much runs the football operations now. Joe's spot on on Romo however Sent from my HTC Vivid
Jerry needs to take Stephen, find themselves a football guy that is qualified to be a GM, pay the man, then go sit in the ivory tower and let a football guy run the team.
For the 1,000 time, that will not happen until JJ dies. When has what Joe THEESMAN has to say been relevant? He's wrong, Jihad. JW didn't drop any passes last week, Sean. Didn't you watch the game?
Romo is a great FF QB, and as a real QB can win 13 games in a season with a loaded team. But as heh proved in 2006,2007, and 2008 he doesn't have the poise to win big Sent from my HTC Vivid
