Wes Welker went on Comcast SportsNet New England's postgame show following the Patriots' 31-21 win over the Denver Broncos, where he was asked about his 13-catch performance and how it differs from early in the year when he was replaced in the starting lineup by Julian Edelman. Now, it's very likely that he was joking, but his response may ruffle some feathers inside Gillette Stadium. Here was the question from host Michael Felger: "Your 13 catches have got to put you in the top five in the league in receiving, which is a far cry from the three receptions you had in Week 1. A month later, it has to be more fun to come out of a game with 13 versus three." And Welker's response: "Yeah, it's kind of nice to stick it in Bill's face every once in a while. So this is definitely a good one." For some reason, even if it was intended as a joke, I don't see Belichick getting a laugh out of that comment. Source: MassLive.com
