Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw a touchdown pass in his 48th consecutive game on Sunday, breaking the record of 47 that had been set by Johnny Unitas. Brees tossed the ball to Devery Henderson in the first quarter of the Saints' home matchup with the San Diego Chargers. The touchdown pass was the 11th of the season for Brees, who has 292 in his career. Unitas' record had stood since 1960. Source: NFL.com

It was unbreakable until Goodell turned the league pass happy. Congrats all the same though. Brees definitely earned it.
Good to see these good comments. Respect given. Brees cannot help the era, or the rules. Its still a huge accomplishment, and I am glad to see the way he says it was a team record. Someone made a mistake earlier, told me that they thought Brees was selfish. Couldn't be more wrong.
