Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli was offered a two-year extension from owner Clark Hunt earlier this year, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported. The Chiefs are 22-32 since Pioli took over in 2009. Pioli has drawn ire from a fan base that was excited when he was signed from the Patriots organization, but he has failed to return the tradition-rich franchise to relevance. The signing of quarterback Matt Cassel has not worked out. Pioli has also been criticized for reportedly having an overbearing management style. Source: NFL.com
