Mike Holmgren will be out as the president of the Cleveland Browns within 24 hours, according to ESPN.com. The move comes with the official approval of Jimmy Haslam as the team's new owner on Tuesday, and according to the report, the long rumored move of former Philadelphia Eagles president Joe Banner as the team's new president will take place, forcing Holmgren aside. Banner is expected to be introduced at a news conference today announcing the sale becoming official. Source: National Football Post
Unfortunate, hopefully it's not situation where they are rebuilding over again instead of building on what they have.
They've got a good core going, there will be personnel changes but I don't think it'll get in the way of the strides they're finally starting to make. It'd be great, however unlikely it is, if Holmgren stayed on as an offensive advisor or something. He's gonna continue to be paid anyway..
