Saints running back Chris Ivory is not happy with his lack of playing time, Kristian Garic of WWL Radio in New Orleans reports. "Deep down, I would have to say, yes, I'm frustrated," Ivory told Garic. "It's a little frustrating to just kind of sit back. I just feel like my worth is more than that, than just, you know, sitting back on the side." The Saints rank near the bottom of the league in rushing yards per game. Not too long ago, Ivory led the league in yards after contact. A lot of people, me included, think that he could be breaking some tackles and giving the offense some juice. "Well, that's out of my hands...but at this point, you know, in the season, I do feel that I should be on the field, you know," Ivory said. "But I'm not playing, they're not putting me out there, so I guess I'm going have to continue to try to be patient to try to see, you know, how things go from here." He said the Saints coaches haven't said why he's not getting playing time on the field. "No, I don't really get too much communication from them, they don't communicate with me. But, that's where I stand, just waiting and being patient. And I do understand the deadline of this trade is at the end of this month...we'll see what happens." When asked if he would request a trade, Ivory replied, "No comment." But Saints interim coach Joe Vitt said, "Chris ain't going nowhere," Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. that is something I don't understand about this team. Ivory is a beast running the ball. And we suck at running the ball. Sit Ingram and play Ivory.
nope. unload Ingram to someone needing a running back and get something back in exchange. I am not impressed with him. They gave up too much for him. Sure Ivory has some fumbling problems but I think that comes with not much playing time and the way he runs. Just sit Ingram a couple of games and give Ivory a shot. Who knows, you might can trade Ivory then.
It is their fault they aren't using Ingram right. He comes in, he runs straight up the middle. Teams know that. He is a better player than that. Pierre isn't even getting much running straight up the middle. You can blame it on Ingram, but its more on playcalling. Run some screens with him, counters. He is a beast player and he can make the moves, they just aren't using him right. Then again, this season..they're not using any of them right.
I think they are worried about the late season RB injuries happening like it did for us the last few years
Maybe I am just not seeing it the way you are. Wasn't impressed at all with him last year. Seems he ran better in college than in the pros. He got stuffed quite a few times last season. Don't know about this season for the reason that I only watched one game. Why not give Ivory a chance. But who do you sit? Sproles? Thomas? Really the only logical choice is Ingram.
