In a Sports Illustrated poll of 180 players released this week, Jets QB Tim Tebow was named the league's most overrated player by a huge margin, receiving a whopping 34% of the vote. The guy ahead of him on the depth chart, Jets starter Mark Sanchez, came in second with 8%. Jets Coach Rex Ryan laughed when informed of the poll results. "I don't know how to comment on that," he said. "I just know I'm happy they're on my football team -- on our football team." The top five was rounded out by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. Former USC running back Reggie Bush, now with the Miami Dolphins, ranked No. 6. Source: LA Times
I would completely disagree with this vote. I'd say he's hands down the most over-covered and over-hyped player in the NFL but not overrated. Only members of the media have hyped this guy up as much as he is hyped up. I guess in a way that's over rated but no one has EVER said that this guy would be an amazing professional quarterback. At least no anyone who's respectable and knows wtf they're talking about.
Tebow is absolutely unquestionably without any doubt the most overrated player in the league. It's not even close. He could be the whole top 10 by himself.
This is racist. They're only saying this because he's white. SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE! But seriously? I think it's false. He is overhyped. The media blew him at Florida. The NFL? They dog him. TEBOW TIME! TEBOWMANIA! He didn't do that. They did it. And he doesn't play enough to be overrated. I hand this award to Tony Romo.
how is Ray Lewis on this list? Is it just for this year? Other than that I agree with the list. Imagine both your qbs rated one and two as overrated. LOL
