ESPNDallas.com’s Todd Archer believes the Cowboys could receive a fourth-round pick if they decide to move cornerback Mike Jenkins before Thursday’s trade deadline. “He is also in the last year of his contract and is playing in a backup role so far. Contending teams need cornerbacks and Jenkins might be able to bring some in return, but his contractual future makes a trade a little more difficult,†wrote Archer. “A team would want to know they are not just renting Jenkins for a half season if they are to give up a viable draft pick (and by that I’m thinking fourth rounder).†The Cowboys can afford to trade Jenkins since rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne has been a solid starter for them so far this season. Jenkins contract is up following this season, so it would make sense for the Cowboys to try to shop the corner and see if they can get a better haul now than a potential compensatory pick. Not with Williams contract. I like him, but he isnt going to start over Murray. Don't want to pay a #2 HB that much. Sent from my HTC Vivid
