Brady Quinn was so desperate to continue a playing career that had been stalled for almost three years that he ignored concussion symptoms for three plays of the Chiefs’ recent loss to Oakland, Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reports. That decision may be keeping Quinn out of the Chiefs’ lineup now, doctors have yet to clear the quarterback to play, so he won’t be available for Monday night’s game against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Quinn, who went to Pittsburgh this week to be examined by noted concussion specialist Micky Collins, said he was frustrated and disappointed that he is still unavailable to play. But he was not surprised. “It’s hard to tell whether you feel like you’re ready,†Quinn said. “I don’t necessarily feel foggy. I definitely feel different. I don’t quite feel 100 percent. I definitely feel I’m getting better each day.†Quinn was injured while scrambling up the middle for 6 yards in the first quarter of the Oct. 28 game against the Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium, he was hit in the head on the play by Oakland linebacker Philip Wheeler.
